A little about me

Hey, I’m Érick! I’m a software engineer living in Chicago, where I spend my days working with technology and my free time exploring just about everything else. I’m fascinated by how things work, how people think, and how ideas become something real. Lately, that curiosity has taken me deeper into film, storytelling, and the arts.

I’m also a runner, a marathon finisher, a soapmaker, an enthusiastic home cook, an occasional kickball player, a recent beach volleyball convert, a former band kid who played both clarinet and euphonium, a lover of music, fish, birds, good company, and probably a dozen other things I’m forgetting. I care a lot about community and bringing people together, whether that’s through leadership, friendship, or convincing people to show up for another one of my ideas. I tend to collect interests faster than I can master them, but I think that’s part of the fun.
